Eilean Donan Castle, Loch Duich (8" X 11½") - Acrylic on 140lb watercolour paper.

One can almost hear the skirl o' the pipes and imagine the swing of the kilt, as the Scottish clansmen made their proud way through this magnificent scenery. Unfortunately, these romantic images do not reflect the cruelty and suffering of many Scots in these bygone times. Mind you, we've aye been a proud race. I remember a Pipe Band leader at a Gourock Highland Games, nearly apoplectic with rage because of some real or imagined snub by the organisers.
