I sat on the grass verge to paint this. Milton is a typical, sleepy little Scottish village, where the most exciting thing you are likely to see is someone running for a bus!

I liked the way the road curved round and leads the eye to the solid old Presbyterian Church, with its ancient yew tree in the auld Kirk yaird.
